Ocarina of Time was released 25 years ago today in the U.S. on November 23rd 1998. This is one of the first games I remember my friends and I being hyped for when we were kids. We were just getting into the Zelda franchise after playing A Link to the Past, and my older brother he would tell us how the new Zelda game was gonna be 3D, and could have all these gameplay possibilities. When one of my friends finally got a copy for Christmas, we would all be huddled in front of the T.V. for hours after school. I remember we would help each other by going to each others house letting each other know where items, songs, heart piece locations, and how to defeat bosses. You know, before video guides were commonly accessible like how it is now. This game had us in front of the T.V. for months. Ocarina of Time is still one of my favorite games after 25 years. It's a game I'll always come back to, and not get tired of.
Anyway, when I was a kid I've always wanted to try to beat the bosses in this game without taking a single hit from any of them. Something I thought was impossible for me to do back then. I hate to admit, but the Morpha fight still took me awhile to beat. If I knew about the strategy to corner it with the Longshot I probably would've done that to save a little time, but I also didn't want to make it seem like I was just trying to rush through some of the boss fights. So I fought a lot of the bosses with the strategy, or at least how I remember beating them. Out of all the Zelda games I've played & beaten, Ocarina of Time is still in my top 3.
