With the Four Sword complete, Link can visit the room behind. In it are a set of stained glass windows depicting the history of the Picori Blade (previously seen in the intro). It also reveals that the light force is contained within the Princess. Vaati is spying on this conversation and learns of its location. He stuns Link and escapes, making for Zelda's statue so he can extract the light force from it.

Upon exiting the Elemental Sanctuary, Link and Ezlo find the castle in a much different condition than when they last saw it. The castle's inhabitants have been turned to stone, but Link can revive them by hitting them with a beam from the Four Sword. We search the castle for a way out (and a way forward). Once I get out of the castle, it's time to do the final roundup before exploring Dark Hyrule Castle and taking down Vaati once and for all. Notable items obtained include some heart pieces, the final bottle, and a better boomerang.

With little else remaining, the time to tackle the castle is nigh. The castle provides a decent mix of combat, exploration, and puzzles. As Link nears the end, Vaati taunts him by announcing he is nearly done with the ritual. Link arrives just in time to prevent the end of the ceremony. The final boss is quite comprehensive, requiring the use of most of your items in some fashion. It's also pretty long, with multiple phases. Link defeats Vaati, freeing Zelda and restoring Ezlo to his former state. He apologizes for allowing Vaati to accomplish everything he had during the game. He bestows the wishing hat upon Zelda so she may restore all of the damage that Vaati has done. Ezlo says his farewell and goes into the Minish Door just before it closes.

As an epilogue of sorts, I visit biggoron at the top of the Veil Falls to get the mirror shield. It honestly takes way too long (20 minutes of real time) to get. That's it for the Minish Cap!
