The live-action remake of The Little Mermaid starring Halle Bailey as Ariel and Melissa McCarthy as Ursula is now available in theaters, and should be coming to Disney+ by the end of summer. This remake of the beloved Disney classic does include some changes to the story, which can be hit or miss for audience members, but there is one change that actually resolves a major plot point from the animated movie. One of the biggest aspects of the plot of the story in both films is that Ariel must give up her voice in order to gain legs to explore the world of the sea. In this video, we go over how the live-action film changed the making of this deal, allowing Ariel's struggles to communicate with Prince Eric to come across as more realistic. So join us Under the Sea for this aquatic discussion and let's go!
