The Long Dark is a post-apocalyptic survival game set in the Canadian wilderness. You have to explore the wilderness, scavenge for supplies and hunt while keeping an eye on your energy levels, warmth, thirst and hunger.

Although the finished game will feature a full story currently there is only a sandbox mode. You explore an open but geographically fixed world looking for the scarce resources (which spawn randomly on each play through). The look stylized but fit very well with the stark atmosphere of the game, the realism is in the gameplay rather than the graphics.

Works well on Linux with either keyboard and mouse or Steam Controller.
