Yep. Nostalgia definitely sells tickets! Not necessarily good writing or good ideas but merely the imagery that makes us "long" for more. Trust, it isn't just visuals or striking that "action" chord in us that makes us want to see superhero movies, but the simplicity of seeing pleasant comic images or in this case, images of previous movies or incarnations of characters or even the RETURN of certain characters (#RecastTchalla, anyone?) that reel us in. Nostalgia as bait may be a good thing. It may be a bad thing. But one thing's for certain; It's DEFINITELY A thing. Edutainment EXPLAINS it!
