Plenty of furries who lean toward wishing for a government to be more tolerant of others for their differences (and making a better world for everyone) instead of using the government to go after the disenfranchised (and making a better world for only some) are in poor spirits.

Given the incoming admin feeling on tariffs and international commerce, furries warn of increases in expensive for materials and drop-ship style merchandise. Nomadic Complex has indicated that it will no longer vendor in US conventions, due to having close calls at the boarder prior with trying to bring in goods to sell even with proper papers during less aggressive administrations.

The tipping point for this regression and victory of the populate vote to me was economic factors which include inflation, but also less covered rising debt costs which a majority of Americans utilize in their consumer purchases. Which may not bode well since raising interest rates did keep America's dollar stronger versus other countries and this now punished fiscally responsible policy in the future. In my mind that governments may lean toward populist consumerism which will induce worst inflation in the future. But in exchange for a desire for more powerful silver, Americans may have given up on our soul of a checked and balanced democracy. We'll see in the coming years if we can endure the second half of this storm.
