The Mediocre Zone | #16 | Soldier of Fortune 3 (PC version)
2Let me first start with : DON'T BITCH ABOUT ,WHY THIS GAME IS SHOWN IN A 4:3 ASPECT RATIO... this game does not DO 16:9 ... if you try to play in 16:9 aspect ratio resolutions , this game physics go loco .. those things you will see are NOTHING compared to the 16:9 magic ... yes i could edit it and stretched it , but then it would looked like shit
So lets go back to the game
At first i looks like a normal FPS GORE game ... a ok game ... then you go to the JUNGLE and all is fucked 23:00 when hit boxes do not work ... and yes i have finished it some years ago when Windows XP Operating System was king ... at it worked fine ... guess Windows 10 said "Fuck it"
The thing is , its a gore FPS game ... and that's why you played it (at that time there was nothing comparable to it with this type of gore , heck all FPS at that time where censored like fuck ... no gibs , no heavy blood effects etc..)... is the story enjoyable , YES it is (if you like American NINJA B-MOVIE quality wise action)... Then why press hated it ... Well it was a 60$ game made on a tight budget , heck CAULDRON DID A MARVEL HERE to have this quality working on speck ... and the press compared it to other 60$ games like Call of Duty ... and criticise it for "why budget games try to compete with the big boys"
Does this game had problems , YES :
Enemies spawns sometimes right before your eyes ,
Physics ,
Game feels like a random level generator
But is this game fun : yes
The only sad part of it is , to play it NOW in 2015 you have to play the console version ... it is the only version that you can complete now in 2015 ... or still have Windows XP installed ( no matter what compatibility options you did , still those hitboxes where turned off)
