The Metaphor Manga Has Some Problems (Chapter 2 Review and Analysis)
37The Metaphor ReFantazio Manga has two chapters out now and honestly, I wasn't the biggest fan of Chapter 2. While it definitely still has a lot going for it, it lacked some of the uniqueness that the first chapter did and instead they just kind of shuffled some events around in a way that I feel made the story feel a bit less impactful than in the game. The chapter wasn't bad by any means, but it could have been significantly better. I still enjoy Atlus' characterization of Will in the game but I think that the Manga's take on him is really well done, though I think that they firmly mishandled Grius' story. While this all could change the moment chapter 3 comes out, at least for now, I'm a bit disappointed.
