The Monroe Haunted Tunnel Explored | Room 5: The Attic
Exploring the Monroe drainage pipe tunnels known as the Monroe Haunted Tunnel System. The main passage and the most easily navigable part of it known as System 1 contains 8 completely different yet amazing rooms. Now these tunnels are very difficult to travel in and can reach crawling heights so it’s not recommend for everyone. The entrance to the Tunnel is on private property but the exit is part of a community park. It’s a lot of fun and very interesting tunnel system that I think a lot would enjoy. But today we will be looking into Room 5 known as “The Attic”. In this room you will definitely need to take a break after just going through the hardest and longest stretch of tunnel known as Hell Hole. Sadly The Attic is one of the smallest rooms and the only standing space is by standing under the manhole. Also the floor can be wet sometimes as a small pipe (to small to fit in) sometimes flows water in from a different direction but good news for you there’s also a storage drain and you can look outside or take a picture of yourself or with a friend from under the storage drain. Besides that this room can some times dam up and it mostly looks to be a small rectangular cement box with a sloped ceiling. Definitely one of my favorite rooms since overall it’s so interesting to look around. Also the tunnel to room 6 will curve slightly to the left now but the passage to room 6 is shorter then that of Hell Hole.
