Regardless of how poorly they sold, the Chibi-Robo series saw a pretty consistent release schedule throughout the 2000s. However, once the Wii and Wii U era came around Chibi-Robo was nowhere to be seen. The last time anyone outside of Japan had even heard from Chibi-Robo was with Park Patrol on the DS all the way back in 2007. It really did seem like this was the end for the little robot. Until, seemingly out of nowhere, during a December 2013 Nintendo Direct a new Chibi-Robo game was announced for the 3DS: Chibi-Robo Photo Finder.
