It's bizarre to me how they constantly have zombies (who are more ghouls than actual zombies) act ravenous when they're supposed to be mindless. Then they tack on superpowers and mutations as if there aren't other creatures with those abilities they could use instead.
Some parasites control their hosts, but they're not "let's eat them despite not having a working digestion system."
I get it; murdering former people is fun, but I'd love more media showing how a mass of incredibly dumb, actual brainless zombies would be—but I guess that would have to be a comedy, as people love contrived drama.
