36There is one bokoblin in Breath of the Wild that disappears without a trace. Odds are you've walked past him multiple times and never noticed. But no longer will he suffer in silence.

Yes this bokoblin actually does get completely removed from the game after the tower is raised! It's not the old man that does it, but the developers. Because there is a cutscene that triggers at the bottom, they didn't want the bokoblin interfering with that scene. So, instead, they chose to remove the bokoblin completely.
