The need to be open-minded as a Christian | THOUGHT RAID
From my observation, being open-minded in the Christian church is something that brings many Christians anxiety. The whole concept of being open to things by itself isn't viewed with scrutiny, but most Christians are afraid to explore why sinful things are sinful, or sometimes to truly listen to their agnostic or atheistic counterparts. Doing or thinking wrong things comes with the real or perceived territory of rejection of others within the church and worse feared, God.
But as one who has pushed myself to go places other Christians are typically afraid of going, I feel I have gotten better at seeing where God's boundaries truly are, and thus more equipped to help those whom the Church may otherwise refuse, or be afraid to reach.
If you are a Christian who has been struggling to find the balance between holding onto God's Word and viewing things seemingly contradictory to what you know from His Word, let's hang out and talk about this tonight!
