The nWo Los Angeles WWE Debut (WWE Games Story)
3,030An offspring of The group that took over Smackdown, the nWo, make their WWE debut, Live on RAW.
With WWE RAW's ratings on a downward trend, commissioner Austin had to move fast. He had to make a deal to save not only his job but the very existence of the red brand.
Smackdown on FOX has been dominating the ratings after the resurgence of the nWo under the guidance of John Cena. Cena returned to the WWE on a short-term deal after a successful stint in Hollywood.
When it came to Cena's contract renewal, he knew he held the power. With FOX demanding the return of Cena in order for them to renew their TV deal with the WWE, Cena pushed Vince as far as he could.
In order for Cena to renew his deal, he demanded Vince signed over the world famous New World Order trademark. This is something that WWE didn't take lightly, but they knew that they didn't have much choice if they wanted to sign their own lucrative deal with FOX.
Fast forward 1 year later and Cena is now making a deal with Austin to bring an exclusive division of the NWO to RAW. This is a totally separate faction, that Cena will control from afar. This does not affect Cena's current exclusive deal with Smackdown.
