Okay, I've disabled all BLT mods, and removed all mod_overrides except this one for testing purposes in a completely clean environment. So it turns out the RPK is more or less the akimbo brother of the AKM, sharing the same problems of akimbo weapon sounds. And on game restart certain sounds (or sound sets) seem to be chosen randomly. And you won't notice any of this with default sounds because a lot of them are complete copies and those that aren't sound almost the same anyway because the sound design in this game SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS!!
