A PowerPoint table of contents is a hub for your presentation. It outlines your topics, and helps users navigate your slides. Your PowerPoint table of contents should be interactive. It’s best to place it near the beginning of your slide deck. Slide #2 is a good option, right after your title slide. To build an interactive table of contents PPT, click into a text box and go to the Insert tab.

Then, click the Link button. Give your slide link a name, then click on Slide Titles. Choose the slide you want to link to, then click OK. PowerPoint will add a clickable link to your slide. When users click it, they’ll be taken to that specific slide.

Repeat these steps, linking to all the slides in your deck. Once you have links added, they work just like any other text. That means you can customize text colors, add font effects, and more. You can indent with the Tab key to group by category too.

As you can see, it’s easy to build an interactive table of contents PPT quickly.
