The REAL Reason There's No Android Controller Support & 120 FPS For PC! | Genshin Impact
Hey guys! How's it going? It's Trieyx here! and in today's video I talk about the REAL reason for why there is no Android controller support and the lack of a higher fps limit (120 FPS) on PC and console in Genshin Impact. The real reason why we don't have those QOL (Quality of life) features is most likely because of Apple. Isn't it kind of strange that only the IOS version of Genshin Impact has controller support/120 FPS when no other platform does? Why is it that IOS version gets all the good stuff when every other version gets the scraps? What I'm getting at is that Apple most likely reached out to MiHoYo/HoYoVerse and signed an exclusivity deal where only the IOS version of Genshin Impact can have controller support and 120 FPS for a certain amount of time. It could be 1 or 2 years, or it could be permanent. It would suck if those features were only available on iPhones forever and not on any other platform. Personally I don't think the 120 FPS option will be locked towards the IOS version of Genshin Impact because that's kind of dumb, however the controller support, maybe. The reason why I think this is because Apple's direct competitor are Android phones and what better way to get Genshin Impact players to stay or switch over to an iPhone than to lock controller support only on iPhones. That being said, we have no idea how long this deal will last and whether or not any of the QOL features are locked towards iPhones throughout the future. It's possible that MiHoYo will add Android controller support and a 120 FPS option on other platforms once this deal is over or they might not, only time will tell. Another reason for controller support and 120 FPS being locked towards iPhones besides an exclusivity deal could be that since the player base on the IOS version of Genshin is pretty big, they want to test out those features on there first before implementing them on other platforms. Some other things I talk about this video is debunking the theory that MiHoYo is having trouble developing controller support on Android, my personal experience dealing with exclusivity deals in that of PokΓ©mon Go π, why exclusivity deals work, and why I had to make this video.
