The Regiment is an action, first person, tactical shooter. Developed by Kuju London and published by Konami in 2006. Also known as the Terror Strike or Close-Quarters Counter-Terrorism, depending on the region where it’s released. The game's premise is based on the Special Air Service military unit, which includes some of the real life missions they accomplished. Because of that, viewer discretion might be advised. Some of the historical events depicted in this game might be too sensitive for some people.
NoirStation Rating: - 3 Out Of 5 - On my first playthrough I didn't like this game, I really hated the slow paced gameplay and the difficulty is just insane, there is no easy or normal mode as well. All that combined with the fact that they are using real life events and people which made me a little concerned, this is a very controversial video game for sure! But, once I got familiar with the gameplay, my second run was a much smoother and more enjoyable experience. Clearly there has been some effort put into this game, but despite that The Regiment sits as an average shooter. For the sake of the weirdness and how random this game's existence is, I still would recommend that some of you play it for yourselves.
