The Revenge of Shinobi - The Transition from Arcade to Console | Review & Retrospective
I take a look at Sega's 1989 classic, The Revenge of Shinobi, for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive. In this video, I focus on four main topics: (1) how The Revenge of Shinobi translated its predecessor's arcade gameplay to consoles, (2) the influence of its soundtrack on video game music, (3) its impact on the early life of the Genesis/Mega Drive, and (4) how it holds up today.
I captured footage via the Mega Drive and Genesis Classics Collection on Steam. The Revenge of Shinobi is available there for the sum of $1 USD: https://store.steampowered.com/app/211207/The_Revenge_of_Shinobi/
