5For those curious about the actual reason for River Country's closure: Contrary to what is claimed in the note at the end of the creepypasta, while a boy did die in 1980 from a brain disease caused by an amoeba he came into contact with at River Country, the park's closure is most likely due to a general decline in tourism after 9/11. Disney had also already opened bigger and better water parks by that point, which further decreased interest in River Country.
So yeah...now you know.
