12Finding technology that will enable a greener future is not something that will happen in the near future. It is something that is already here. We have all the pieces of the puzzle that we need to transform society. Not only here in Europe, it’s a possibility for the entire world.
Over the past decade we’ve been putting the infrastructure in place to create renewable energy. Now we need to add on to it to increase its impact.
How do you store the energy from Wind, Water and the sun? It’s easy to create it and use it, but we need to store it so that we can use it whenever we want.
One thing that came clear to me, while doing this documentary is the fact, that we use energy that is already stored. Oil, coal, wood - they all contain energy. This is energy stored in the earth, that we’re extracting.
This paradigm shift toward a hydrogen society full of green renewable energy, we have face a new challenge of creating the energy before we use it. This means that we have to find new ways to store the energy.
