This final boss took me around 90 minutes to beat this time. When I completed the arcade version I beat the entire game in about 28 minutes. Im not sure if this port is harder than the arcade on default difficulty, or if I just got lucky in the past. I watched my video of the fight, from the arcade version, and it still took me a long time to break through. I ended up going with a similiar strategy to that video in the end.

The main strategy was to keep distance with this character that has a long reach. Using a specific straight punch when she got close. I had to avoid using this slow move when she was mid range, when possible, because she will often do an attack that takes out a full health bar (50 percent damage). The attack freezes the screen and will connect while I am in the middle of the punch animation. I mix in a specific jump attack to try to get some combos when shes up close, but I play very defensively mainly using that specific punch when shes in close range. If I can connect at close range I will usually do 2 punches before I back off again. Otherwise she gets out of range and may do her super powerful attack again. What happens is my punch connects with the wave she throws out, damaging only me, for 1/2 damage. She can easily shred my health up close so its important to not only get her off my ass, but only attack when she is very close so I dont get hit by her super move. I also used a move attached to some meter. Its a rush type of move that the character does when hes built up enough meter. I use that to push her back when she comes in aggressively and get some damage.
