I'm a bit of a music and science nerd and these unrelated fields have come together for the iconic cover to Joy Division's album "Unknown Pleasures". There are quite a few pop culture works that use images of space, but this uses a data visualization from an astronomer's PhD thesis, and there's a lot to be said about this.
