This is a long and multi-staged boss fight. Each time you deplete his shield he will change form. He has four forms: Eridium, Incendiary, Cryo, and Eridium again. You only hit the shields in the first three forms.

The weak spot of the sentinel is the face. Shoot him directly from the front when you can.
You want to use a long range or splash damage weapon because you need to keep your distance. You want to keep circle strafing him to avoid his attacks. Use the Eridium blocks as cover when big attacks launch.

You don’t need to attack the adds as they won’t do significant damage and you can use them for second wind.
