5Well this sure is different for this channel. While participating in the Mcraeathon, I ended up being the host while Axington123 showcased with Viper. Since Viper hasn't ran the game in years and I haven't played it period in half a decade, I decided to set us up to a race. Unsurprisingly, I bit up way more that I could chew there.
This is a godawful run before anyone says anything, I'm more than aware. Again, this was the first time I even touched the game in half a decade and my only knowledge of the speedrun is from watching Liquidwifi's videos. So I knew what the route and strats vaguely looked like, I just had no idea how to actually do them. Still pretty happy I actually pulled off the Armored Van strat and sort of baby van.
But yeah as I say in the video, it's safe to say that no, being really good at another driving game isn't all that helpful because of how different the physics are. Viper had a bit more knowledge and it showed, he took over at the start and never looked back during the race.
Now I'm sure some of you are wondering if I'll run this and the answer is... maybe? I know, really helpful. I do enjoy the game, I'm just not sure if I'm ready to dedicate myself to a second game, especially with all the coin route stuff I need to learn and all. I suppose we'll see with time.
