The SM64 Meme speedrun where you HAVE to get lucky
2,024On one side of the meme speedrunning spectrum we have All Signs, which is basically no RNG at all. Of course I had to re-visit the most RNG heavy meme speedrun there is, which is All Coins!

IMPOSSIBLE COIN IN THI:
For the unfamiliar, there is a "impossible coin" in Tiny, Huge Island. To get it non-TAS it looks like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfW8SdzZQds
So when All Coins became a speedrun in SM64, no one knew it was even possible to get this coin, so we grabbed 191 coins in THI.
At this point its a legacy thing, but also it would make All Coins much more annoying to speedrun because its already a very dense RNG category and getting the impossible coin is much harder than you'd think, it is kept out of All Coins to make the category not mega annoying.
I actually used to speedrun All Coins, the most legendary meme speedrun, wayyyyy back in the day (2014) and since I've been back I wanted to revisit it so here it is! It is an ode to Pokemon as well as Ocarina Of Time in the sense that it is super RNG heavy (Pokemon) and because of that, one tiny mistake can ruin the entire run. (Ocarina Of Time)
While I won't grind this category as hard as I did with All Signs, I definitely want to keep speedrunning it occasionally to try to get world record as the current record can be improved by a fair margin.
