In an alternate 18th century Paris, King Louis XVI has had an automaton army created to terrorize the population. The protagonist Aegis is also an automaton and serves as the bodyguard of Queen Marie Antoinette. Aegis is hired by the queen to stop the king.
Steelrising is a French Souls-like with an interesting setting. I show the plot of the game in this video using cutscenes and dialogs. Unfortunately, the biggest problem of the game is mediocre gameplay and graphics that are more from 2011 than 2022 (it reminds me of Assassin's Creed 3 especially in the cutscenes).
