The sun is cold.
Well, I know it sounds crazy, but the Sun is actually a pretty “cold star”.
In fact, it belongs to the G group of stars, with surface temperatures from 5300 K to 6000 K.
There are a stars much much hotter than our Sun.
An example?
Vega and Sirius. They are A type star, with a surface temperature from 7500 K to 10.000 K.
Do we have hotter stars?
Of course.
There are B type stars. For example, Rigel in the Orion Constellation.
An interesting fact is that often, when we talk about stars, hotter means bigger.
