Did you know that, in a fluid, where the velocity increases, the pressure decreases?
This is described by Bernoulli's principle.
For example:
If we stand very close to railway track, when a fast train passes us we get pulled towards the track because of the low pressure area generated by the speed of the train.
Bernoulli's principle is also responsible for the roofs to be blown away in heavy winds.
As the wind velocity increases, the pressure on the roof decreases.
This creates a difference of pressure inside the house and outside the house, thus blowing the roof away.
