call me paranoid if you want but what happened in the past when shadow first got announced?
He was the talk of the town, and was even more popular than sonic for crying out loud. He was mysterious, and him and his origin was complex, and compelling and fans loved it, so when he died. They of course wanted more
And here, is when it starts heading towards the peak in the cycle
due to high demand shadow came back to life via rouge reviving him in sonic heroes and formed his own team. His goal was to try and figure out his past and who he is because he lost all his memory when he woke up. He had his own reasons (no matter how convenient they were) to take down eggman and joined up with sonic in the end, and it was pretty interesting.
But you'll start to notice that Sega gets in their bag when their talking about shadows past, but after that, they have no idea what to do with him
We're finally at the peak and he's famous enough to get his own game
And it was good at heart but had bad execution, and afterwards he had a pretty big role in sonic 06 representing part of time itself, which I also Believe had good ideas but still bad execution
And then.. (desert rumble weed)
