This game is the actual legacy of Mr Gygax not 5E and not #oneD&D. Gygax said it was his legacy, that it was the game he felt was closest to his goal and the successor to AD&D.
Luke Gygax has said so as well, that this is the legacy of his father.
Anyone who says 5E D&D and One D&D is the legacy of Gygax is 99% wrong. Wizards do nothing to honor Gygax. %e is a good system but it is NOT D&D other than in name.
