Twitch has (up till now) existed in a confusingly naive bubble of copyright ambiguity. Streamers knowingly allow for thousands (millions really) of viewers to consume various media formats, specifically music, without proper licensing.

Those times are apparently coming to a rather abrupt end, which puts a spotlight on how broadcasters will adapt to an increasingly hostile copyright landscape as media firms realize, there are pieces of a growing (yet still fledgling) pie up for grabs.
