When I watched the Fallout TV series, I was stunned by the scene where the corporate heads eagerly jump at the idea of the end of the world, With a smattering of cartoonishly evil & illogical proposals.

That’s what made me realize: Fallout has a major Vault problem—even the games got it wrong. It wasn’t supposed to be like this.
Does that make sense to you? You have a dwindling supply of humans and resources, and your first move is to pump psychotropic drugs into the air supply? Seems like a waste of drugs—if you ask the ghoul.
Even Mr. House, the long-game genius of New Vegas, gets reduced to a caricature here. He says:
“There’s a lot of earning potential with the end of the world.”
