The Warlock of Firetop Mountain - PC - Lunika Ekaadi - First Attempt (Blind)
A first attempt at completing The Warlock of Firetop Mountain with Lunika Ekaadi. It's also my first time playing the game.
This is a digital board game version of the debut Fighting Fantasy book, originally released on paperback in 1982. It's reasonably faithful to the book, they left some things out, but added stuff too.
You play an adventurer, who makes their way through a mountain fortress, hoping to defeat the Warlock and claim his treasure. There are actually several characters to play through with, and they all have their own personal quest, aside from defeating the Warlock (except in Gauntlet mode, where defeating the Warlock is the only goal).
In the original, you had to find three keys to be able to open the Warlock's treasure chest at the end. In this, you only need one, but finding all three will get you extra souls, which you can use to unlock new characters. Unlike the original book, the keys aren’t in fixed places, and change location randomly every time you play. Also, unlike the original book, you don’t roll for stats. They’re fixed, depending on what character you choose.
You get three resurrection stones, which will revive you at the last checkpoint. Use them up and the adventure is over if you die. I’ll be showing multiple attempts with all characters. There’s no guarantee I’ll finish it first time with all characters, but I’m hoping that will add to the tension. If I fail with a character, I’ll start again in a new video. I'll also be doing Gauntlet Mode and getting all achievements.
I muted about 20 seconds of copyright audio. This channel isn't monetized, but I didn't want a publisher filling the video with adverts.
