The Way of the M Walkthrough - World 7 Part 1
From now until the very end, each level will be recorded individually, rather than a bunch of them put in one recording, due to how hard they've become now. Since the beginning of this walkthrough, a newer version (Epsilon) was finalized, but only three things were changed. A jump in Fortress Ascent was made more reasonable, a reset door in Cliff Castle was fixed so it doesn't kill you anymore and actually lets you reset, and music tracks that broke on accurate emulators were substituted with ones that wouldn't break. See first video and world 4 part 1 for more details.
0:00 Dark Wastes: At first it will start out as a semi-regular level, but in the second half, incorporates moving fences, which you are informed that you can keep a smaller hitbox even when you're big. This trick may even be a necessity to clear world 7. For the second half, just be very careful with each jump and watch out for everything that's out there.
4:28 Catacombs: Let's do this. The level starts off with auto-scrolling, then gives you two tricky jumps in the second room that you'll want to duck jump to clear. The Dragon Coin at 6:09 can be a problem to get if you do have fire, because you could just shoot the plant you need to get up there by accident. The biggest nuisance in the level has to be the long dead end that the midpoint is placed at. Most levels in this hack don't even do that, so yeah. Swim through the tide room and you'll eventually end up at the last room in which you have a very dangerous bullet generator to deal with. Eventually you'll just have to fly the rest of the way. To make this easier, get a shell whenever you can. It can deflect some enemy projectiles.
11:15 Watery Helix: This level is epic. You'll have to cautiously swim and jump around in a double helix to beat this level. The second half gets even crazier once it turns into a vertical level. You'll have to swim upwards, and there are even more things to worry about in this section. 15:39 is definitely one of the most brutal moments in the hack, and it keeps going up until the enemies stop. By this point, you'll have figured that getting the Yellow Switch gave you way more of a gift than you could have imagined.
