As you are probably aware, due to the press attention, the WhatsApp messenger application has recently discovered a large security breach which has effected a very select group of users.
But are they the only ones targeted? How do you protect yourself and your online devices against this vulnerability and also against other forms of attack?
Well first, the main thing is to make sure your devices are updated to use the latest version of the App and it is probably good practice to check for updates to your devices core operating system.
Secondly, if you have not done so already, use a good antivirus or malware scanner to check for infections or breaches.
I am using the BitDefender Free program on my devices to keep them secure, and as we like to do here at Mikesunboxing, we like it to not be expensive. And in this case, it is totally free!
You can search for the updates to WhatsApp in your devices App store and apply the security patches at the same time as getting the current version of the app.
Also you can also search for Bitdefender FREE and install some peace of mind whilst you are at it.
