The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings es un videojuego de rol y acción, secuela directa de The Witcher. CD Projekt RED ambienta su universo de fantasía oscura y medieval en los libros de Geralt de Rivia de Andrzej Sapkowski.

En el juego The Witcher 2, el brujo Geralt debe investigar el asesinato del rey temerio Foltest, que estaba bajo su custodia durante una rebelión por parte de las principales familias de Temeria. Por el camino forja alianzas y enemistades con personajes icónicos de la serie como Iorveth, Vernon Roche, Zoltan o Triss.
