If you're a fan of The Witcher 3, you'll be pleased to learn that the game's next-gen update, as well as whole new DLC, is on the way. the release date has been pushed out to May or June this year and the  Fans of The Witcher 3 will not only be able to get their hands on next-gen versions of the game, but they will also be able to get additional DLC, though not on the same scale as Blood and Wine, or Hearts of Stone expansions.

The Witcher 3 active players increased dramatically when the second season of the Netflix series went on air.
During the second season of the show's release last month, the game saw a huge boost in sales.
The game grew from just under 40000, up to 80000 players between 9 and December 23 last year.
The only other time the game had such a growth was when it first launched in 2015, when it got over 92000 players.

The tease that will be described by the Netflix series implies that the DLC would be purely decorative, although it's not impossible that gamers could be rewarded to some real new content, such as new missions or weapons.

For the time being, all we can do is guess what the DLC will be. We know the game will have "a range of visual and technical upgrades" on PS5, Xbox Series S or X and some of these changes would include ray tracing and faster loading times, but that's all we know.
