The Witcher (en polaco Wiedźmin) es un videojuego de rol de ordenador, desarrollado por el estudio polaco CD Projekt RED. Basado en la saga literaria The Witcher, escrita por el autor Andrzej Sapkowski, está protagonizado por el personaje Geralt de Rivia. Utiliza el motor Aurora, propiedad del estudio BioWare. Fue publicado en octubre de 2007.

Su edición mejorada; que contiene entre otras novedades un editor y dos nuevas aventuras (El Precio de la Neutralidad y Efectos Secundarios); fue publicado en septiembre de 2008. Una versión para consolas, The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf, fue planeada para otoño de 2009, aunque finalmente no vio la luz.

The Witcher sigue la historia de Geralt, un mutante "brujo" — un viajero cazador de monstruos dotado de poderes antinaturales. Al tener lugar en un mundo medieval, el juego implementa vistas detalladas. La luz natural durante varias fases del día es alterada de forma realista, y las transiciones del día a la noche sirven para enriquecer el ambiente del juego. El tiempo puede cambiar dinámicamente desde una pequeña llovizna hasta una oscura tormenta acompañada de truenos y rayos, y la gente reacciona a la lluvia ocultándose bajo los techos donde no llueve.

El juego está centrado alrededor de Geralt el brujo, quien al principio del juego sufre de amnesia. Gradualmente va dándose cuenta de que era un brujo de renombre y que tenía amigos y enemigos casi en todas partes quienes le recuerdan pero él no les recuerda a ellos. A través de las acciones del jugador, se redefinirán estas relaciones y escogerá su camino en la intriga política que le rodea.
