A story driven game that focuses on gameplay to the detriment of story. What could go wrong?

After seeing the trailer and playing the demo, I really understand how bad marketing can turn people away from a game. In this case, though, it might be warranted. I hate to say it, but if they were giving the game away for free I don't think I'd play it.
