Nuzlocke Rules:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- None of the rules below take place until we have Pokéballs
- All Pokémon that faint are assumed dead and must be placed in a “Death” Box
- We may only catch the first Pokémon we encounter in any route or area. Failure to capture the first Pokémon means no encounter for that route or area.
- We must nickname all Pokémon. (If nicknaming is forgotten we will use the name rater to set one as soon as possible)
- Any and all Pokémon that require an over world action to encounter/receive (static Pokémon) are allowed to be caught and do not count as an encounter for the area.
- Dupes/Species clause – If the encounter of a specific route is the same or in the same family as a Pokémon already caught by the player they may choose to get a different encounter.
- If all Pokémon in the party faint and the player blacks out the game is over.

Soul Link Rules:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- All Pokemon the Player encounters are "Linked"/"Paired" to the coresponding encounter on the partners game.
- A Pokemon cannot be Linked to another pokemon of the same primary type or gender.
- Both Players take turns getting encounters first, if the second player's encounter does not follow the above rule, then they may re-encounter until a viable partner is found.
- In the event that a Pokemon cannot be re-encountered (e.g. Static Pokemon/Egg) the gender rule does not apply.
- Both Player's teams must consist of Linked pairs where no Pokemon shares a primary type with any Pokemon on either team.
- Should a Pokemon die, it's Linked partner is also considered dead.
