Sebastien Ogier fired sharp remarks at Hyundai boss Andrea Adamo in the immediate aftermath of last weekend’s Rally Portugal round of the World Rally Championship.

While the six-time world champion accepted Hyundai’s placement of Dani Sordo and Sebastian Loeb to give Thierry Neuville a cleaner path - which meant dust and road-surface issues were less problematic - Ogier later suggested Hyundai had gone too far by asking Sordo to carry out “mean” tactics that would have interfered with Toyota driver Kris Meeke’s run.
