Writing the stories isn’t the end of the process. Here we move on to the formatting of the collection just prior to its release. If you’ve ever wondered some of the processes involved in this stage of independent publishing, here’s a short segment showing some of them.
Welcome to the Writer at Work series. Today I’m formatting the first edition of A Collection of Dragons, which collects all the short fiction and poetry I’ve written concerning dragons. It includes all the work originally included in the now out of print An Anthology of Dragons as well as the dragon-themed poems and flash fiction from 365 Days of Poetry, 365 Days of Flash Fiction, 366 Days of Poetry, and 366 Days of Flash Fiction, several short stories that originally appeared as stand-alone pieces, but which have been brought together in this volume, and some pieces found exclusively in this volume.
