First time blind play-through let's play song of horror episode 1.
Going in with no knowledge, and playing keyboard and mouse. Song of Horror promises an 'eldritch AI' that ensures no play through is ever exactly the same twice. Cool concept but what does it mean? Well... it means I'm CONSISTENTLY TERRIFIED. Every time I have to open a door my butt cheeks are clenched, and nerves are on end. The game encourages you to re-examine the same rooms again and again for items / puzzle solving, but it's never too overwhelming, and as long as YOU keep moving things along, things... keep... moving along at a comfortable clip. The first episode was done in one playthrough and had some big game-play surprises (multiple characters and if you die with one.... they are dead for good! So be careful). But also seems to unravel a really fun and creepy story, little by little.
Loving Song of Horror so far. It seems every game I play becomes my new 'favorite horror game of 2019' because Song of Horror is already taking it for me. I'm PUMPED to keep playing this one... Enjoy the let's play with me, and check it out for yourself!
