No One Will Save You is a 2023 American science fiction horror film written, directed and produced by Brian Duffield, starring Kaitlyn Dever. The film is among features with only five words of dialogue over a 93 minute runtime.
Plot
In flashbacks, a young Brynn and her best friend Maude had an argument that led to the former inadvertently killing her, turning her fellow townspeople against her. In the present, following the death of her mother Sarah, Brynn has become anxious and withdrawn, spending her time building a miniature scale model of her town. One night, she awakens to find a humanoid alien in her home. She attempts to escape, but it uses telekinesis to subdue her. While fighting back, she grabs a fragment from her model bell tower and kills the alien with it, breaking its hold on her.
Finding that all of her electronic devices and car have been disabled, she heads to town on her bicycle. Along the way, she discovers signs that other aliens attacked her neighbors. Upon reaching the police station however, everything appears normal. Following a sour experience with Maude's parents, the chief of police and his wife, Brynn attempts to leave town by bus, but several of the passengers attack her, having been infected by the aliens with parasites. Narrowly escaping, Brynn returns home and fortifies her house, where a flying saucer uses a tractor beam to take the corpse of the alien who attacked her. After fending off two more aliens and one of their thralls, Brynn tries to flee once more, only to be pursued by an arachnid alien. She leads it into her car, where its long limbs become entangled and puncture the gas tank. She ignites the leaking fuel, burning it to death despite the saucer's attempts to extinguish the flames.
Brynn rushes back inside, but a fourth alien pins her to a wall, produces a parasite, and guides it into her mouth. Though it causes her to suffer vivid hallucinations of her living a normal life where Maude never died, Brynn eventually breaks free and removes the parasite. Finding herself in a field, another saucer arrives and transforms the parasite into a doppelgänger of Brynn, which pursues her into the woods.
The parasite subdues and injures Brynn, who kills it with a box cutter and runs to a deserted road. There, the occupants of another saucer take her inside and telepathically contact her, forcing her to remember what happened to Maude while the aliens come to an agreement on how to address Brynn. They return her to Earth without a parasite, but continue to control her fellow townspeople, making them behave more friendly to her.
