323Cooperation Cup is keeping Street Fighter III: Third Strike alive and well.
While there, I got a chance to talk to some of the people who make it happen, and the players who've carried the 3S torch for nearly 20 years.
Context Note: At one point in this video, a Japanese player, who is playing with the American team, is wearing a MAGA hat. It was a gag, and though we may take such symbols more seriously here, it seemed to me like the Japanese side of the community was simply making of us Americans by wearing the hat during Top 8. This is as good a time as any to remind my viewers that I do not support or accept the toxic, hateful culture around Trump or his supporters. If this makes you feel excluded because you're a Trump supporter watching this: good. Go away.
Visual Note: This piece was shot entirely on my Pixel 2 smartphone while I was visiting Japan.
