After playing the remastered version of Sonic the Hedgehog on the Sonic Origins collection, and unfortunately giving up on the original Sega Genesis version, I came across the Sega Ages port on Nintendo Switch which features the Mega Play Arcade version of Sonic the Hedgehog. (Say all that 3x fast!)

This Arcade version switches things up slightly by removing levels and focusing entirely on speed. Marble Zone, Labyrinth Zone, and Scrap Brain Zone Act 3 are no longer a part of Sonic's adventure. Instead, you speed through Green Hill, go straight into Spring Yard, and hit up the first 2 Acts of Scrap Brain before taking on the final boss.

Over time, I'll be taking a look at some of the more interesting Sonic arcade games, but I couldn't pass up one more look at the game that started it all!
