The company Tose developed numerous NES games, including some you wouldn’t expect. Despite them working with companies like Jaleco, Namco and Nintendo, they usually never received credit for their games. If you look at the box or title screen of any game they developed, you’ll get no mention of Tose anywhere. You will find the publisher all over it though. Why did Jaleco and Nintendo hire a no-name developer instead of making the games themselves, and why did Tose not take credit for their games?
