This is the single biggest problem in Pokemon UNITE right now because it effects all players at all levels and is detrimental to the growth of the game.

Matchmaking is a core part of any MOBA no matter how casual it is. Pokemon UNITEs matchmaking simply doesn't exist which causes people to feel like no matter how good they get or high they climb in rank the match quality doesn't seem to increase. It's a major problem in Pokemon UNITE and hurts players both high ranked players and brand new players who are still learning.

On top of this the idea that 5 stacked teams and solo queue players exist on the same ladder and can be matched in game is ridiculous and unheard of in any other moba. It makes the entire ranked system a complete and utter joke on every level. Solo queue players deserve fair games and 5 stack players deserve to play against other 5 stacks to test themselves in competitive games.

Both of these issues combined make it a chore to play UNITE and grind ranked as the game quality is so random and horrific. I worry that if it's not fixed it will be detrimental to UNITE in the short term and potentially kill Pokemon UNITE in the long term if it's not addressed. It prevents new players from joining and enjoying the game and it prevents competitive players from finding good matches.
