When we think of console RPGs, almost universally we think of the Eastern/Japanese RPG genre, while the Western RPG stays on PCs. Not always has that been the case, and while Dragon Quest is significant in its own right, it wasn't the first. Over three years prior, one company tried to make some astounding games on the Atari 2600. This is one of them; the 2600's only official RPG, and as far as I'm concerned, the very first RPG to get on a game console.
